We source our MDF core wood from a single mill in Oregon so we have a consistent MDF core for consistent cutting. Heavier than basswood, the MDF core woods are a great choice when a more sturdy material is needed.
Note: Glowforge does not recommend using MDF in the Aura or Spark although if vented instead of using the filter, our tests have shown it cuts well.
